In January 2024 I was invited by Air India to the Wings India 2024 exhibition in Hyderabad to attend the inauguration ceremony of Air India's very first Airbus A350.
I was responsible for creating photo content for the national airline as part of their digital marketing strategy.
The grand inauguration was attended by Air India Chairman Campbell Wilson, numerous company representatives and a crew wearing the new cabin crew uniforms.

As part of my photo report I wanted photos of the exterior of the aircraft highlighting its attractive and modern design. I decided to concentrate on the visual elements that are characteristic of the A350. Its Trent XWB engines, its elegant sharklets and its legendary black mask!
For the interior, the aim was to highlight the cabin, the various features and the comfort that Air India brings to its passengers.

Air India A350 cabin
Business class
On board, we find a three-class cabin (business, premium economy and finally economy class).
In business class there are 28 Collins Aerospace Horizon seats in a 1-2-1 configuration. The seats are divided into suites with a sliding door. The blue seats with brown headrests can be fully extended and transformed into a comfortable bed.
The suite includes a private wardrobe for storing jackets and coats, as well as a dressing table, plenty of storage space and numerous sockets for electronic devices.

Premium economy class
In premium economy we find 24 MiQ seats from Collins Aerospace in a 2-4-2 configuration. They feature the characteristic red color of Air India's new identity, which is clearly visible in the cabin. Equipped with a steep recline, a personal reading light, and a Panasonic IFE screens.

Economy class
In economy class there are 264 Collin Aerospace Aspire seats in a 3-3-3 configuration. The 31-inch seat pitch, combined with a less dense configuration than on other airlines, offers each passenger more space. As in premium economy, the seats proudly bear the Air India red color.
Finally, all economy and premium economy passengers have access to USB sockets and international plug adapters. For even more connectivity, Wi-Fi will be available on board in all classes.
